We process personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data. We collect only what we really need.
2. What data we process, why and for how long

We do not store the IP address for forms, the audit or Website Guardian. We store only an irreversible fingerprint (hash) of it, which lets us limit misuse of the forms, but the record cannot show what the IP address was.
Providing the data is voluntary. Without an e-mail, however, we cannot reply to you, and without the details from the order we cannot conclude a contract or issue an invoice.
3. Legal bases in plain language
- Consent: you give it by ticking a box in the form or in the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time by e-mail at biz@meaovis.com or with the button Change cookie settings. Withdrawal does not affect the processing carried out before the withdrawal.
- Contract and pre-contractual relations: we need the data so that we can prepare a quote for you and provide the service you ordered.
- Legal obligation: for example keeping invoices under the zákon o účtovníctve (the Slovak Accounting Act).
- Legitimate interest: protecting the website and the forms against misuse and anonymous traffic measurement. You can object to this processing.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data. We use only the necessary service providers (processors), who may work with the data only on our instructions:
- Websupport s.r.o.: web hosting, database and e-mail services. This website runs on their servers and enquiries are stored there.
- Umami (umami.is): traffic measurement without cookies. It receives only anonymous data about the visit.
- Google: if we use Google PageSpeed Insights measurement during the audit, we send it only the address of the audited website, not your personal data.
- Impact (impact.com): a partner (affiliate) script. It loads only with your consent in the cookie banner.
- Public authorities: only if the law requires it of us.
If any provider processes data outside the European Union (this concerns mainly the Impact partner script), it happens only with your consent or with appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, for example the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
5. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries (forms, e-mails, the configurator): 24 months from the last contact, if they do not lead to a contract.
- Free audits: 12 months.
- Website Guardian: for the duration of the subscription and 12 months after it ends.
- Contracts and invoices: for the duration of the contract, and accounting documents for 10 years, as required by the zákon o účtovníctve (the Slovak Accounting Act).
Once these periods expire we delete or anonymize the data, so it can no longer be linked to you.
6. Your rights
At any time you have the right:
- to access, that is to find out whether and what data about you we process, and to receive a copy of it (Art. 15 GDPR),
- to rectification of incorrect or incomplete data (Art. 16),
- to erasure of data if we no longer need it or you have withdrawn your consent (Art. 17),
- to restriction of processing, for example while the accuracy of the data is being checked (Art. 18),
- to portability, that is to receive your data in a common machine readable format (Art. 20),
- to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21),
- to withdraw consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it (Art. 7, para. 3).
We do not carry out automated decision making with legal effects or profiling (Art. 22 GDPR). The website audit and Website Guardian automatically evaluate the website, not you.
7. How to exercise your rights and where to complain
Write to us at biz@meaovis.com or by post to our registered address. We reply without undue delay, at the latest within one month. In complex cases we may extend the deadline by a further two months. We will tell you in advance. So that we do not give the data to the wrong person, we may ask you to verify your identity.
If you believe that we handle your data contrary to the rules, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

8. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We measure traffic without cookies (the Umami tool). In your browser we store only two necessary settings, which we do not send anywhere. The Impact partner script, which uses cookies, loads only if you agree to it in the banner.

You can change your choice at any time:
If you withdraw your consent, the partner script will not load on your next visit. You can delete the cookies it has already stored in your browser settings.
9. How we protect your data
- The whole website runs over a secure HTTPS connection.
- Only authorized persons have access to enquiries and to the administration, and that access is protected by a password.
- We do not store IP addresses, only an irreversible fingerprint (hash) of them.
- We protect the forms against bots without annoying tests (no CAPTCHA) and without third party tracking tools.
- Once the retention period expires we delete or anonymize the data.
10. Changes to this information
We may update this information, for example when we add a new service or the rules change. The current version is always on this page and applies from the date given below.
