What the Guardian watches

Six things that quietly break on a website

Most problems do not look like a disaster. The website runs, it just stops being found by Google, slows down or its certificate expires. The Guardian notices it for you.

The website is down

Hosting goes down, the domain expires or an update breaks the page. When the website does not respond on the second try either, we send you an e-mail. And another one when it is back up.

checked every hour

SSL certificate is expiring

The certificate powers the padlock in the browser (HTTPS). When it expires, visitors see a “Your connection is not private” warning and leave. We warn you 21 days ahead.

checked daily

The website slowed down

A new plugin, a large photo or an overloaded server. When the server response or the page size goes over the recommended limit, the report shows you what changed.

every 7 days

SEO errors

One unlucky click is enough for a website to vanish from Google: indexing turned off (noindex), a lost page title or a broken sitemap (the list of pages for Google).

every 7 days

AI bots blocked

ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity can recommend you only if they are allowed to read your website. When robots.txt (the rules for bots) or a firewall blocks them, you get to know.

every 7 days

Score drop on mobile and desktop

A score from 0 to 100, separately for mobile and desktop. When it drops by 5 points or more, the report tells you why in plain language, without technical jargon.

every 7 days

How it works

You turn it on in a minute, then you do nothing more

  1. 1

You enter your website and e-mail

Your website address and the e-mail where the reports should go. No installation, no code on your site, no payment card.

  2. 2

    You confirm your e-mail

You open the link from the e-mail and turn the Guardian on with one button. We run the first audit right away and send you the result, so in a moment you know how your website is doing.

  3. 3

The Guardian works on its own

It checks the website on the schedule below. It writes to you when action is needed and sends a summary once a week.

  • Every hourIs the website up? If it is down, a second try, then an e-mail.
  • Once a daySSL certificate validity. Alert 21 days ahead.
  • Every 7 daysA full audit on mobile and desktop and a report by e-mail.
  • When neededAn outage alert and a message when the website works again.

Report sample

This is what the weekly e-mail looks like

We write the report for a business owner, not for a programmer. At a glance you see whether everything is in order and, if not, exactly what changed.

  1. 1
    Score for mobile and desktop

0 to 100 points. 90 and above is excellent, below 50 you need to act.

  2. 2
What changed and what is still waiting

First the changes since the last check: new problems and fixed items. Below them a short reminder of the main problems that are still open.

  3. 3
The full report in one click

Detailed results of about 50 checks with explanations. You can send the link to your web administrator.

Website Guardian for vasafirma.sk: 3 changes for the worse

9 October 2026

78Mobile
93Desktop

Changes since the last check

  • The page has indexing turned off (noindex), so Google will stop showing it.
  • The new image on the homepage is 2,4 MB, so it loads slowly on mobile.
  • The mobile score dropped from 85 to 78 points.
  • Fixed: the page description for Google (meta description) has been added.

Still to fix

  • Images have no description (alt text), so Google and screen readers do not know what they show.

Without the Guardian vs. with the Guardian

You learn about the problem in time, not from a customer

Websites break after updates, server changes or a certificate expiry. The difference is when you find out about it.

Situation Without the Guardian With the Guardian

The website stops working on Saturday evening

Without the GuardianYou find out on Monday, from a customer who could not reach you or could not place an order.

With the GuardianWe run the check every hour, so you usually have the e-mail within an hour. And another one when the website works again.

The SSL certificate expires

Without the GuardianVisitors see a “Your connection is not private” warning and leave. Often you notice only days later.

With the GuardianAn alert 21 days ahead, so you have enough time to renew it.

An update switches on “noindex”

Without the GuardianThe website quietly disappears from Google. You find out weeks later, when enquiries drop off.

With the GuardianAt the next audit we write to you what changed and what to do about it.

The website slows down

Without the GuardianNobody notices. Some visitors simply leave before the page loads.

With the GuardianThe report shows you the score drop and what caused it.

AI search engines lose access

Without the GuardianChatGPT or Perplexity stop recommending you and you have no idea why.

With the GuardianYou learn which AI bot is blocked and where.

Your time

Without the GuardianClicking through the website regularly and hoping that nothing slipped past you.

With the GuardianZero minutes. The Guardian works on its own, you only read the e-mail.

FAQ

Questions about Website Guardian

Did not find your answer? Write to us or see all questions.

What does Website Guardian do?

Website Guardian is a fully automatic service. Every hour it checks that your website works and, when it does not, it sends you an e-mail usually within the hour. Once a day it checks the SSL certificate (HTTPS security) and warns you before it expires. Every 7 days it runs a full audit on mobile and desktop and sends you a clear report. When speed or SEO gets worse, you are the first to know.

The Guardian finds and explains problems, but it does not fix them and does not replace website maintenance. The fix is done by your administrator or by us. More about Website Guardian.

How does the Website Guardian trial work?

The first 14 days are free. To start you only need an e-mail and a website address, no payment card. The trial is available once per website.

After the trial you decide for yourself whether to continue. Nothing is charged automatically. If you want to continue, we send you an invoice.

How much does Website Guardian cost and how do I pay?

Website Guardian costs 29 € per month or 290 € per year. With yearly payment you save 58 €. You pay in advance by invoice, with no lock-in.

Can I cancel Website Guardian at any time?

Yes, at any time. Every e-mail from the Guardian contains a cancellation link, or you can simply write to us at biz@meaovis.com. No notice periods and no cancellation fees.

If you cancel the Guardian during a paid period, it watches your website until the end of that period and then does not renew. We do not refund paid subscriptions, the service runs for you until the period ends.

How often does the Guardian check my website?

We check uptime every hour, the SSL certificate (HTTPS security) once a day and the full audit (mobile and desktop, speed, SEO, SEO for AI and security) every 7 days.

We send an outage alert when the website does not respond on the second try either. A short outage of a few seconds will not disturb you needlessly.

Do I have to install or change anything on my website?

No. The Guardian checks the website from the outside, just like a visitor or Google. It needs no admin access, no passwords and no code added to your site. It works with WordPress, online store platforms and custom built websites.

What if another company or a programmer manages my website?

That is perfectly common. You can simply forward the report. It is written so that a business owner and a web administrator both understand it, and every problem comes with a short fix procedure. If you like, we will do the fixing.

Can I watch several websites?

Yes. You register each website separately, so each one has its own reports and alerts. If you have several websites, get in touch and we will prepare a single invoice.

Do you want us to fix the problems as well?

The Guardian finds the problems, we do the fixing. Send us the report and within 1 business day you get an estimate of the price and the timing.
